Our Staff
Our professional and Friendly Staff...
KYLEA TRINDER, a 23 year old English girl from Cowes, has ridden most of her life and started working with horses at 18, working at both large equestrian centers as well as small competition yards. She has competed in all three phases (dressage, show jumping and cross country), but found her passion in teaching after becoming an instructor very early on in her career. She holds several BHS (British Horse Society) qualifications including her teaching certificate, she teaches all ages and levels in all three phases. Kylea is very popular with our young riders and trail riders alike.
DODO (Clemente) has been working with Springhill Riding Club since spring 1995. He is originally from Santo Domingo, and grew up a farm with horses. He is very much part of the Springhill family.
JANIE EASTON sailed to Antigua in 1967 and fell in love with the island. She has owned and bred horses here since 1969, and started with Pony Club camps for children in 1987 with a lot of help from her friends. By popular request the club was formed in the early 90s and has grown from strength to strength since then. The club is a nonprofit club and she is hoping it will keep teaching children & adults to ride, and take visitors out to see our beautiful island for many, many years to come.
PATRICIA BRIDGE originally from Montserrat, until the Volcano overwhelmed her house, is our very able Treasurer, who manages our very limited funds with great skill.
SOLVEIG NITSCHMANN ex president of the ABHS has been our most enthusiastic rider for many years. She competed very successfully in FEI Dressage on her Thoroughbred gelding Vikingo, and now is training up her mare Quality Cat. Solveig, our operations manager, does so much to keep everything at the club running in top form, and tries to ride most days.
